- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Leek - 2 pieces
- Carrot - 28.2 oz
- Honey - 2 teaspoons
- Chili Flakes - a pinch
- Bay leaf - 1 piece
- Chicken Broth - 2 qt
- Sour Cream - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced leek and sauté for 3 minutes. Then add the finely chopped carrot, honey, a small pinch of chili flakes, and the bay leaf. Sauté for 2 minutes.
Step 2
Pour in the broth, bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 30 minutes until the vegetables are tender. Remove the bay leaf and blend until smooth.
Step 3
Gently reheat and serve in bowls. Add a spoonful of sour cream to each and serve.
