Ingredients
- Butter - 0.5 oz
- Carrot - 8 pieces
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Chicken Broth - 17 fl oz
- Freshly squeezed orange juice - 2 fl oz
- 3.2% Milk - 25 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel and finely chop the garlic and carrot, then sauté them in a saucepan with butter for about a minute. Next, pour in the broth and milk, bringing the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat so that the soup simmers gently, but not too vigorously.
Step 2
Cover the saucepan with a lid and cook for 20 minutes. Once the carrots are soft, transfer the soup to a blender and puree until smooth. (If the vegetables were cooked in a pot, you can also use an immersion blender.)
Step 3
Pour in the tangerine juice (it's best to extract it from fresh fruits) and mix thoroughly.
Step 4
Before serving, reheat the soup, season with salt and pepper to taste, and ladle into deep bowls. Serve immediately.
