Carrots in Orange Maple Glaze

Ingredients

  • Turnips - 17.6 oz
  • Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Maple syrup - ¼ cup
  • Orange juice concentrate - 0.3 cup
  • Orange zest - ½ teaspoon
  • Ground Cinnamon - a pinch

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Peel the carrots and slice them into thin rounds.

Step 2

In a saucepan, heat the oil and add the carrots. Sauté for 3–4 minutes, then add the maple syrup and lightly salt. Cook for 1–2 minutes, then pour in the orange juice. Cover and cook for another 3–4 minutes.

Step 3

Remove the lid, increase the heat, and cook, stirring, until all the liquid evaporates.

Step 4

Remove from heat and stir in the zest and cinnamon.
