Chestnuts in Port Wine with Grapes
Ingredients
- Chicken Broth - ¾ cup
- Red port - ¼ cup
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Orange zest - 1 piece
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Peeled chestnuts - 8.1 oz
- Seedless Green Grapes - 14.1 oz
- Coarse Salt - to taste
- Italian chopped parsley - 3.2 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a skillet, combine the broth, port wine, butter, zest, and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring. Cook the mixture for 8 minutes until slightly thickened. Add the whole chestnuts and grapes, and season with salt.
Step 2
Reduce the heat and cook until the sauce thickens and coats the chestnuts and grapes, about 4 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Stir.
Step 3
Transfer to a bowl and sprinkle with parsley.
