Chicken Burgers with Yakitori Sauce
Ingredients
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts - 4 pieces
- Yakiniku sauce - 6 fl oz
- Coarse Cornmeal - 1 teaspoon
- Bun - 4 pieces
- Vegetable Oil - to taste
- Mayonnaise - 2.8 oz
- Banana Leaves - 2.8 oz
- Courgette - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the chicken breast in a bowl and mix with the yakitori sauce. Refrigerate for 4 hours.
Step 2
Drain the sauce from the chicken into a pot and add the cornmeal. Stir, bring to a boil while stirring, and cook for 5 minutes. Keep warm.
Step 3
Preheat the grill and lightly grease it with oil. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
Step 4
Slice the buns in half and toast the cut side for 1 minute until grill marks appear.
Step 5
Spread a little mayonnaise on the bottom half of the buns, cover with lettuce leaves, then add sliced cucumber and a piece of chicken on top. Drizzle with the prepared thickened sauce and cover with the top halves of the buns. Serve immediately.
