Description
Chicken in Soy Sauce
Ingredients
- Poultry - 1 piece
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Farm fresh eggs - 4 pieces
- Soy Sauce - 8 fl oz
- Sugar - 6 teaspoons
- Natural Yogurt - 4 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Boil the chicken. Cut it into very small pieces along with the skin.
Step 2
Sauté the onion.
Step 3
Boil the eggs, then cut them into cubes of the same size as the chicken.
Step 4
Heat the soy sauce, add sugar (or a sugar substitute), and mix well. The sauce should be slightly salty and sweet. The amount of sugar depends on the saltiness of the sauce.
Step 5
Place the finely chopped chicken in a thin hot frying pan. Fry for 10 minutes, stirring well. All moisture should evaporate from the chicken, and it should brown.
Step 6
Add 2/3 cup of soy sauce and the onion to the chicken. Reduce the heat to low. Do not cover, let the moisture evaporate. Keep on the stove for about 15 minutes, then add the remaining 1/3 cup, the eggs, mix, and cover. Keep on low heat for another 5 minutes before serving.
Step 7
Serve deliciously with yogurt as a filling for pancakes, with lavash, or as a main dish.
