Chicken Roll-Ups with Sweet Peppers
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet - 21.2 oz
- Orange Bell Peppers - 1 piece
- Orange Bell Peppers - 1 piece
- Bacon - 10.6 oz
- Sliced Processed Cheese - 5.3 oz
- Ground Nutmeg - a pinch
- Margarine - 1 tablespoon
- Red Long Chili Peppers - a pinch
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F. Wash the chicken fillet, pat it dry, and cut it into 4 pieces. Lightly pound, season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with grated nutmeg.
Step 2
Wash the bell peppers, pat them dry, cut each pod in half, remove the stem and seeds, and slice the flesh into wide strips.
Step 3
Place a slice of processed cheese on each piece of chicken, then add strips of sweet pepper, roll them up, and wrap with bacon strips. Tie with string.
Step 4
Grease a baking dish with margarine, place the roll-ups inside, and bake in the oven for 30–40 minutes. Occasionally baste with the juices that form during baking.
Step 5
Remove the finished dish from the baking dish, take off the strings, slice the roll-ups into thick rounds, and serve. You can garnish with basil leaves.
