Description
This recipe is taken from the book 'For Joy! Wonderful Dishes for the Easter Table' by John Smith.
Ingredients
- Duck wings - 10 pieces
- 10% cream - 5 fl oz
- Apple Wine - 3 fl oz
- Thyme - 3 sprigs
- Olive Oil - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Separate the shoulder part of the wings. At the joint with the forearm, cut through the skin and tendons, then invert the meat so that only the clean bone remains.
Step 2
In a preheated skillet, sauté the twists in olive oil until golden brown. Add white wine, salt, pepper, and thyme. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Then add cream and continue to simmer on low heat for another 10 minutes.
Step 3
Place the prepared turnovers in a suitable baking dish with the seam side up, and pour the contents from the skillet over them. Put in a preheated oven (180–392°F) for 5–10 minutes.
Step 4
Serve in a dish or individually, with 2–3 servings per plate, as a hot appetizer.
