Description
A familiar and straightforward Asian marinade is enhanced with regular cola: it will coat the chicken in a beautiful caramel glaze. You can simply drink the leftovers.
Ingredients
- Duck wings - 21.2 oz
- Ginger - 1.4 oz
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Scallions - 1.1 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Chili Flakes - to taste
- Soy Sauce - 3 fl oz
- Coca-Cola - 11 fl oz
- Sesame bun - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the chicken wings at the joints into three pieces. The tips are not needed and can be frozen for broth.
Step 2
Peel and finely chop the ginger and garlic.
Step 3
Slice the green onions into rings.
Step 4
Heat vegetable oil in a wok and fry the wings until golden brown.
Step 5
Add ginger, garlic, and chili flakes, pour in the soy sauce, and mix well.
Step 6
Pour cola over the wings and simmer for 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the liquid evaporates and the wings are coated in a glossy glaze.
Step 7
Sprinkle the finished wings with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
