Chocolate Eggnog
Ingredients
- Liquid dark chocolate - 1.8 oz
- Chocolate - 24 fl oz
- Coconut Liqueur - 8 fl oz
- Milk - 16 fl oz
- 10% cream - 8 fl oz
- Dark rum - 8 fl oz
- Brown Sugar - 3.5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 8 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a large pot, combine regular milk with chocolate milk and heat over medium heat until just below boiling.
Step 2
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, vigorously whisk the eggs with the brown sugar.
Step 3
Pour half of the warmed milk mixture into the egg mixture and whisk vigorously. Then transfer to the pot with the milk, set over low heat, and while stirring continuously, add the Kahlua liqueur or any other chocolate liqueur and the cream.
Step 4
Cook over low heat, without bringing to a boil, and continuously whisk until the mixture thickens to a creamy consistency.
Step 5
Cover the finished eggnog with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 to 5 hours.
Step 6
Before serving, pour into glasses and sprinkle with grated chocolate.
