Ingredients
- Medium-dry sherry - 25 fl oz
- Ginger Green Wine - 2 qt
- Brandy - 1 cup
- Milk - 1 cup
- Cinnamon - 1 piece
- Green peppercorns - 4 pieces
- Ground Nutmeg - ½ teaspoon
- Ground clove - 4 pieces
- Grated Ginger Root - ½ teaspoon
- Apple - 8 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the apple halves in an oven preheated to 347°F. Bake for about 25-30 minutes.
Step 2
Meanwhile, crush the peppercorns with a spoon, break the cinnamon stick into several pieces, and place it along with the cloves, nutmeg, and ginger into a cheesecloth bag.
Step 3
In a large pot, pour in 2 cups of ginger ale, submerge the spice bag, and set over medium heat. When it comes to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for another 10 minutes.
Step 4
Remove the spices from the pot, add the sherry, brandy, remaining ginger ale, and bring to just below boiling over medium heat.
Step 5
Remove from heat, add the milk, and immediately pour into mugs, adding half of a baked apple to each.
