Ingredients
- Bacon - 4 pieces
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Mayonnaise - 4.4 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Country Bread - 12 pieces
- Avocado - 1 piece
- Swiss Cheese - 10.6 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the grill. Place the bacon on the grill and cook for 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Step 2
Meanwhile, mix the mayonnaise, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Add ground black pepper. Place 8 slices of bread on the grill and toast one side for 1 minute until golden brown.
Step 3
Place 4 toast slices on a board with the toasted side down. Spread half of the garlic mayonnaise on them, then layer with thinly sliced tomatoes, followed by a piece of cheese. On top of the cheese, place a slice of untoasted bread spread with the remaining mayonnaise, then add the bacon.
Step 4
Mash the avocado until it reaches a puree consistency and spread it on top of the mayonnaise. Cover with the remaining 4 pieces of toasted bread, placing the toasted side up. Gently press down on the sandwiches. Place 1.5 pieces of cheese on top so that it completely covers the upper slice of bread and slightly hangs over the sides.
Step 5
Place the sandwiches under the grill and cook until the cheese is golden brown. Let them cool slightly, then cut in half diagonally. Serve warm.
