Description
This tea is a strong brew — a concentrate for making a healthy tea drink. It is advisable to consume the main part of the brew within 6 hours after preparation, as the vitamins contained in it oxidize and lose their properties over time. After 12 hours of preparation, the drink should be stored in the refrigerator for no more than 2 days. The infusion is diluted like regular tea — with boiling water.
Ingredients
- Dried Rosehip - 2 tablespoons
- Dried Chamomile - 1 teaspoon
- Yarrow - 0.5 oz
- St. John's Wort - 0.7 oz
- Lemon Balm - 0.5 oz
- Cardamom - 10 pieces
- Flax seeds - ½ teaspoon
- Lemon Zest - 1½ tablespoons
- Ginger Root - 0.5 oz
- Ground Black Pepper - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Place all the dry herbs into the teapot.
Step 2
Separate the cardamom from its pods, but add both the seeds and the husks to the herbs.
Step 3
Peel the ginger.
Step 4
Extract the ginger juice using a garlic press directly over the teapot. Add the crushed ginger to the herbs.
Step 5
Zest the lemon in the required amount and add it to the brew.
Step 6
Add a pinch of ground black pepper to the tea.
Step 7
Set the kettle to 194°F. If that is not possible, bring the water to a boil and wait a little (about 3 minutes), as boiling water can strip the herbs of their beneficial properties.
