Ingredients
- Corn Cobs - 8 pieces
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
- Onion - 1 head
- 33% Cream - ½ cup
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Coarse Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Carefully cut the kernels off the corn cobs with a sharp knife.
Step 2
In a saucepan, melt the butter, add the finely chopped onion, and cook, stirring, until soft, about 2–3 minutes.
Step 3
Then add the kernels and 0.75 cup of water. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 10–15 minutes until tender.
Step 4
Add the cream and sugar and cook, uncovered, for about 4–6 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
