Ingredients
- Corn Cobs - 2 lbs
- Onion - 2 heads
- Celery salt - 1 piece
- Wheat Flour - 3 tablespoons
- Butter - 1.4 oz
- Milk - 1 qt
- Chicken Broth - 3 cups
- Coconut flakes - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Sauté the chopped onion. Pour a small amount of boiling salted water over the corn kernels, celery, and sautéed onion, cover the pot with a lid, and simmer for 30–40 minutes.
Step 2
Puree the cooked vegetables, and prepare a white sauce separately. Combine the pureed corn with the white sauce, dilute with broth or cooking liquid to the desired consistency, and bring to a boil. Then add boiling milk and season with butter.
Step 3
Serve the soup with croutons or cornflakes.
