Ingredients
- Rye Bread - 8 pieces
- Blue Crabs - 7.1 oz
- Butter - to taste
- Shallot - 2 pieces
- Dill - 1 bunch
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Remove the crabs from the packaging, cover them, and let them thaw.
Step 2
Peel and finely chop the shallots.
Step 3
Wash and dry the dill.
Step 4
Set aside eight small sprigs for garnish, and finely chop the remaining dill.
Step 5
Pour hot water over the lemon, dry it, and cut out eight very thin slices from the middle.
Step 6
Finely chop the crabs and mix them with the shallots, finely chopped dill, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and ground pepper.
Step 7
Spread butter on the slices of rye bread and place the crab mixture on top.
Step 8
Garnish each sandwich with a slice of lemon and a sprig of dill.
Step 9
The crab salad can be placed on toasted white bread rounds and garnished with salmon roe.
