Step by Step guide

Step 1

Carefully cut the kernels off the corn cobs with a sharp knife — you should get about 10 cups of kernels — and transfer them to a blender. Add 2 cups of water and blend until nearly smooth, but with a little texture.

Step 2

In a saucepan, combine the corn puree, cut-up pieces of butter, and 4 cups of water. Season with salt and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring, until the butter melts and the soup is heated through.

Step 3
