- Olive Oil - to taste
- Lean Beef - 12.3 oz
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Paprika - to taste
- Ground Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Ground Cumin - to taste
- Unleavened dough - 7.1 oz
- Ocean salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Take out the dough so that it thaws by the time the filling is ready.
Step 2
Sauté the ground beef in olive oil until golden brown.
Step 3
Transfer the beef to a bowl. In the same pan, sauté the finely chopped onion and minced garlic. Add paprika, cinnamon, cumin, and salt. Cook, stirring, for another 2–3 minutes.
Step 4
Return the beef to the pan and cook for another 8 minutes.
Step 5
While the filling cools, roll out the dough thinly. Cut the rolled-out sheet into 8 squares, approximately 10 by 10 cm. Place filling in the center of each square and roll it up. Don't forget to pinch the edges.
Step 6
Heat some olive oil in a pan and fry 2–3 rolls on each side until golden brown, about 4 minutes.
