Ingredients
- Eggplants - 2 pieces
- Lean Beef - 17.6 oz
- Tomatoes - 4 pieces
- Onion - 1 piece
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 8.8 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Spices - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Slice the eggplants, onion, and tomatoes into rings.
Step 2
Prepare the ground beef yourself using a meat grinder, or use pre-made lean ground beef.
Step 3
In a rectangular baking dish (preferably glass, so you can see the layers of the appetizer), layer the ingredients.
Step 4
First layer - eggplants, sprinkle with a little salt and pepper.
Step 5
Second layer - ground beef. Drizzle with tomato sauce and spread evenly. Sprinkle with a little salt and pepper.
Step 6
Third layer - onion rings.
Step 7
Fourth layer - ground beef. Add a little tomato sauce, salt, and pepper.
Step 8
Fifth layer - tomatoes. Sprinkle with a little salt and pepper.
Step 9
Top with spices: basil or thyme to taste.

You can sprinkle with grated cheese.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) and bake for 30 minutes.
