Ingredients
- Fennel - 2 pieces
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Orange juice concentrate - 12 fl oz
- Coarse Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Dry White Wine - 4 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the fennel lengthwise into 4 pieces.
Step 2
In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the butter and olive oil, add the fennel, and sauté for 5 minutes, turning until golden brown.
Step 3
Pour in the orange juice, season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat. Cook for about 15 minutes until the fennel is tender.
Step 4
Then add the wine and cook for another 10 minutes until the fennel is very soft and the sauce has thickened slightly. Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm.
