Ingredients

  • Fennel - 6 pieces
  • Béchamel sauce - 16 fl oz
  • Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 2.1 oz
  • Butter - 2 tablespoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Rinse the fennel well and remove the old leaves. Cut into thin pieces and carefully trim the inner part with a sharp knife. Boil the fennel in salted water for about 7 minutes until tender. Drain.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 392°F.

Step 3

Grease a baking dish with butter and transfer the fennel into it. Pour over the béchamel sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan. Dot with remaining butter and bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.
