Ingredients
- Lentils - 17.6 oz
- Ground Dried Garlic - 1 tablespoon
- Dried onion powder - 1 tablespoon
- Cinnamon - 1 piece
- Dried Chili Pepper - 1 piece
- Minced garlic - 1 tablespoon
- Turmeric - ¼ teaspoon
- Grated Ginger Root - 1 tablespoon
- Olive Oil - ¼ cup
- Orange juice concentrate - ¼ cup
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the lentils several times in cold water.
Step 2
Meanwhile, bring a large pot of water to a boil, adding the dried onion and garlic, chili pepper, and cinnamon stick.
Step 3
Drain the lentils and add them to the boiling water. Cook for about 35–40 minutes until tender. Then drain and remove the chili and cinnamon.
Step 4
Add the minced garlic, ginger, turmeric, olive oil, and orange juice. Mix well.
Step 5
Before serving, reheat, adding a little of the liquid in which the lentils were cooked if necessary.
