  • Cocoa Powder - 2 fl oz
  • Beans - 1 piece
  • Farm fresh eggs - 5 pieces
  • Milk - 8 fl oz
  • Heavy cream - 6 fl oz
  • Sugar - 1.8 oz
  • Vanillin - 0.2 oz
  • Salt - 0.1 oz
  • Mini Chocolate Chips - to taste
  • Boiling water - 2 fl oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

In a small bowl, dissolve the cocoa powder in hot water. Let it cool slightly.

Step 2

In a saucepan, whisk together the eggs, cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Add the dissolved cocoa and mix until smooth.

Step 3

Melt a piece of butter in a skillet. Cut the bread into evenly thick slices. Carefully dip the bread pieces into the chocolate-egg mixture and fry in the skillet like French toast. The toast should be well cooked but still soft.

Step 4

Place the toast on a serving plate, spreading each piece with chocolate spread or melted chocolate. You can garnish the dish with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or drizzle with syrup.
