Ingredients
- Spanish onions - 1 head
- Sourdough Bread - 3 pieces
- Grated Chocolate - 3.5 oz
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Chicken Broth - 2 cups
- Wheat Flour - 1 tablespoon
- Dry White Wine - 3 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Balsamic Vinegar - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Herbs - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Sauté one large sweet onion, very thinly sliced, and 2 or 3 pieces of French bread lightly in butter.
Step 2
Add approximately 100 g of finely grated Gruyère cheese along with the sautéed mixture to 2 cups of vegetable broth.
Step 3
Add 1 tablespoon of flour, 1 teaspoon of balsamic or apple vinegar, 3 tablespoons of dry white wine, 1 minced clove of garlic, 1 clove of garlic cut in half, salt, pepper, and herbs to taste.
