Description
In the summer, this is a way to prepare a light hot dish, and in the rest of the year, it’s a chance to bring summer closer. The salad mix can be anything — tomatoes are happy to have any companion.
Ingredients
- Spinach - 5.3 oz
- Olive Oil - 3 spoons
- Mixed salad greens - 1 piece
- Ground Cumin - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Tomatoes - 4 pieces
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Add crushed garlic and grated cumin, and sauté, stirring, for about a minute.
Step 2
Add the greens in small batches — spinach and mixed salad greens are great for sautéing, especially a mix of arugula, Swiss chard, and spinach, but feel free to create your own combinations like romaine, lettuce, and so on. You can add a new batch to the pan once the previous one has absorbed the oil.
Step 3
Slice the tomatoes into wedges, add them to the pan, and cook until they start to release their juices. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
