Fried scallops in miso and maple syrup sauce

Ingredients

  • Scallops - 8 pieces
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste
  • Rice Vinegar for Sushi - 4 fl oz
  • Maple syrup - 1 fl oz
  • Vegetable Oil - 0 fl oz
  • Miso Paste - 1.1 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Rinse the scallops and dry them very well. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 2

Heat the vegetable oil in a wok over medium heat and add the scallops. Fry on both sides for about 3 minutes until golden brown and transfer to a plate.

Step 3

In the wok, add the vinegar, maple syrup, and miso paste. Cook until the mixture reduces to a sauce consistency.

Step 4

Return the scallops to the wok and mix well. Serve immediately.
