Fried Sweet Peppers with Anchovies and Olive Oil

Ingredients

  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Orange Bell Peppers - 2 pieces
  • Olive Oil - 1¼ tablespoons
  • Anchovy fillet - 4 pieces
  • Chili Flakes - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Grill the peppers or roast them in the oven (at 428°F) until the skin starts to char. Transfer to a large bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let sit for a while.

Step 2

After 15 minutes, remove the seeds and skin from the peppers. Cut them into thin strips and place them in a bowl.

Step 3

Add finely chopped garlic and 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the peppers. Refrigerate for 1 hour.

Step 4

Arrange the peppers on a plate, top with sliced fish fillets. Drizzle with the remaining olive oil and sprinkle with red pepper flakes (if desired).
