Description
There is no salt in this recipe, as soy sauce is quite salty on its own. If you don't have soy sauce on hand, you can confidently substitute it with salt (to taste). Traditionally, sea salt is added to seafood and fish.
Ingredients
- King Prawns - 24.7 oz
- Soy Sauce - 4 tablespoons
- Lemon - 4 pieces
- Ginger - 0.5 oz
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Mild Chili Spice - 1 teaspoon
- Herbes de Provence - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Thaw the shrimp for an hour at room temperature.
Step 2
Peel the garlic and ginger.
Step 3
Crush the garlic heads and ginger with a large knife.
Step 4
Place the ginger and garlic in a hot skillet with boiling oil.
Step 5
Wait for a golden crust to form and turn them over.
Step 6
Once the ginger and garlic are browned on both sides, remove them from the skillet — they will no longer be needed as their aroma has infused the oil.
Step 7
Add the shrimp to the aromatic oil and fry on high heat.
Step 8
After 2–3 minutes, stir the shrimp.
Step 9
Mix the soy sauce with lemon juice and add ground pepper.
Step 10
Add the resulting sauce to the shrimp, stir, and reduce the heat to low.
Step 11
Sprinkle the shrimp with herbs de Provence and cover with a lid.
Step 12
After 2–3 minutes, stir and remove from heat.
