Description
One of the most popular beer snacks in the world. Despite their seemingly simple appearance, garlic croutons have a character of their own: it is important for them to remain soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, so you need to keep a close eye on them and not overcook in the oven or on the skillet. Additionally, croutons serve as a great addition to salads, main dishes, and soups, adding texture and the perfect crunch to meals.
Ingredients
- Borodinsky Bread - 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Garlic - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Trim the crusts off the bread and cut it into thick slices.
Step 2
Transfer the bread to a wire rack and place it in an oven preheated to 248°F for 10-15 minutes. The bread should dry out on the outside while remaining soft on the inside.
Step 3
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and fry the bread until golden brown on all sides. Transfer the cooked toast to a paper towel to remove excess oil.
Step 4
Rub the toast with garlic on all sides, season with salt, and serve immediately.
