Description
Toast bread can be replaced with regular white bread. The flavor of the dish depends on the quality of the sprats: in particular, we do not recommend using sprats made from herring for this dish.
Ingredients
- Sprats - 1 can
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Sourdough Bread - 4 slices
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Toast the bread in a toaster.
Step 2
Rub each toast with about half a clove of garlic. It is optional but possible to rub the bread on both sides.
Step 3
Generously drizzle the toast with freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Step 4
Place the sprats on the toast. When choosing between sprats made from herring and sprats made from sardines, we recommend the latter.
Step 5
Drizzle additional lemon juice on top.
