Description
Can be made from cow's milk.
Ingredients
- Goat cheese - 1 qt
- Sour Cream - 14.1 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 3 pieces
- Salt - 3 tablespoons
- Fresh basil leaves - 2 teaspoons
- Ground Dried Garlic - 1 teaspoon
- Dried Dill Stems - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Bring the goat milk to a boil, reduce the heat and, while stirring constantly, pour in the mixture of 400 grams of sour cream whipped with 3 eggs and 2–3 tablespoons of salt (whip in a processor); bring to a boil, but do not boil, stir for 5 minutes until curds form.
Step 2
Strain through several layers of cheesecloth, add 2 teaspoons of dried basil, 1 teaspoon of dried garlic, and 1 teaspoon of dried dill, and mix with the resulting mass.
Step 3
Twist the ends of the cheesecloth, gently squeeze the knot, and place it on a colander to drain the liquid.
Step 4
After an hour, place the cheesecloth with the cheese on a plate, put a small dish on top and weigh it down, then refrigerate for 12–15 hours.
