Ingredients

  • Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Onion - 1 head
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Fresh basil leaves - 1 bunch
  • Basmati rice - 1 glass
  • Chopped Sage Leaves - ¼ glasses
  • Chicken Broth - 2½ glasses
  • Chopped Green Onions - ¼ glasses
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste
  • Lemon - 1 piece
  • Feta cheese - ¼ glasses

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Heat olive oil in a deep skillet over medium heat and sauté the finely chopped onion until soft, about 5-7 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about another minute.

Step 2

Add the chopped spinach and cook for a while until it is tender.

Step 3

Add the rice, broth, parsley, dill, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil, cover with a lid, reduce the heat, and simmer for about 50 minutes until the rice is tender.

Step 4

Remove from heat, add a little lemon juice, and sprinkle with feta cheese.
