Description
A recipe for a good and practically universal side dish made from sautéed green beans, crushed walnuts, and garlic. The side dish is prepared very quickly and goes well with almost any main course: chicken, meat, or fish. Since green beans are not subjected to prolonged heat treatment in this recipe, I suspect that the dish is also quite healthy. The dish is delicious both cold and hot.
Ingredients
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - to taste
- Chinese green beans - 17.6 oz
- Walnuts - 3.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a mortar, blender, or any other method (for example, you can crush the nuts between two tablespoons), grind and mash the walnuts into a uniform mass. There's no need to grind the walnuts into 'flour'; just lightly chop them.
Step 2
Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic, then add them to a hot skillet with vegetable oil. Sauté until golden brown.
Step 3
Next, add the green beans (frozen is fine) to the skillet, and simmer until the beans are tender, then add the walnuts and evaporate the water.
