Ingredients
- Mild Chili Spice - 2 pieces
- Spanish onions - 1 head
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Cilantro - 1 cup
- Chicken Broth - 17 fl oz
- Long-Grain Rice - 1 cup
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Blend the onion, garlic, cilantro, chili, and 250 ml of chicken broth in a blender. Season with salt.
Step 2
Rinse and dry the rice. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the rice. Sauté it, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes. Add the sauce and the remaining 250 ml of broth. Cover and cook on low heat for 20 minutes. Turn off the heat but do not open the lid, allowing the rice to steam for another 10 minutes.
