Ingredients
- Scallions - 12 stalks
- Chicken fillet - 9.7 oz
- Salt - to taste
- White Pepper (whole) - to taste
- Yakiniku sauce - 4 spoons
- Vegetable Oil - 2 spoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Soak 6 bamboo skewers in cold water for 2 hours.
Step 2
Cut the chicken into small cubes (about 2.5 cm). Trim the roots and ends off the green onions and cut them into 2.5 cm pieces. Thread 3 pieces of chicken and 2 pieces of onion onto each skewer, alternating them. Sprinkle with salt and white pepper.
Step 3
Heat a skillet over medium heat or preheat a grill until it starts to smoke, then add oil. Cook the skewers for 5-6 minutes, turning them frequently, until they are golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel and brush with yakitori sauce. Serve immediately.
