Description
Original recipe from a popular American cooking magazine. Serve as a side dish with meat or with tortilla chips.
Ingredients
- Donut Peaches - 4 pieces
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Chopped Green Onions - 2 tablespoons
- Lime - 1 piece
- TABASCO® - to taste
- Spanish onions - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Take 4 large, not overly soft peaches. Cut them in half and remove the pit.
Step 2
Grill them on a preheated grill pan or grill for 2–3 minutes, skin side up, and 1 minute skin side down.
Step 3
Cool them down, remove the skin if it comes off easily, and cut into cubes about 1 cm.
Step 4
Cut the tomatoes into cubes of the same size. It's better to use a variety that is not too watery, one that will release less juice. If desired, you can remove the seeds and juice to make the salsa less liquid.
Step 5
Finely chop the red onion.
Step 6
Grate the lime zest and squeeze out the juice.
Step 7
Chop the cilantro not too finely.
Step 8
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, dress with lime juice, and add TABASCO sauce or chili sauce to taste.
