  • Halloumi Cheese - 3.5 oz
  • Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
  • Wheat Flour - 1.1 oz
  • Breadcrumbs - 1.1 oz
  • Chopped almonds - 1.8 oz
  • Dried Apricots - 0.7 oz
  • Cranberry - 0.7 oz
  • Cinnamon - 0.1 oz
  • Clove - 0 oz
  • Sugar - 0.7 oz
  • Salt - 0.1 oz
  • Ground Black Pepper - 0 oz
  • Water - 2 fl oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Slice the cheese into 5 mm thick pieces. Mix the egg with water. Place the flour, breadcrumbs, and almond flakes into separate containers. Coat the cheese by dipping it first in flour, then in the egg, followed by the breadcrumbs, then back in the egg, and finally roll it in the almond flakes.

Step 2

For the sauce, place the dried apricots, cut into quarters, and the other ingredients into a saucepan, and add water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then immediately reduce the heat to a gentle simmer. Cook the sauce until it thickens to a syrupy consistency.

Step 3

Fry the prepared cheese in a skillet until golden brown.

Step 4

Serve with sauce.
