- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Halloumi Cheese - 9.5 oz
- Thyme leaves - to taste
- Dried Red Pepper - ½ teaspoon
- Pitted olives - 1 cup

Heat a medium-sized skillet over medium heat, preferably cast iron or non-stick.

Add 1 tablespoon of oil and swirl the skillet to evenly coat it with oil.

Add the halloumi cheese and let it fry without flipping until it turns a dark golden color (about 2 minutes).
Step 4
Using a flexible spatula, flip the cheese to the other side.
Step 5
Continue frying the cheese, flipping it occasionally, for about 5 minutes (it is not necessary to fry all sides).
Step 6
Remove the skillet from heat, add the thyme and ground pepper. Arrange the halloumi cheese and olives on small plates and drizzle with oil.
