Description
Ham and tomato sauce sandwiches
Ingredients
- French Baguette - 1 piece
- Tomatoes - 7.1 oz
- Ham - 7.1 oz
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Parsley - 0.7 oz
- Olive Oil - 3 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Balsamic Vinegar - 0 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
First, prepare the sauce by sautéing finely chopped garlic in 50 ml of olive oil for about one minute, making sure the garlic doesn't start to burn. Then, transfer the oil along with the garlic to a blender, add randomly chopped tomatoes, a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar, a pinch of ground pepper, and a dash of salt. Blend everything together until smooth.
Step 2
Cut the bread into large pieces and toast them in olive oil.
Step 3
Finely chop the parsley and mix it with olive oil and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper, and brush this sauce over the ham.
Step 4
Spread tomato sauce on the bread, cover it with ham, and on top, you can nestle a lettuce leaf—such as romaine or radicchio, and similar varieties.
