Description
Ham Roll 'Black Forest' and Roasted Pear with Arugula Salad
Ingredients
- Pears - 3.5 oz
- Black Forest Ham - 3.5 oz
- Butter - 0.9 oz
- Brandy - 4 tablespoons
- Walnuts - 0.9 oz
- Arugula - 0.9 oz
- Chives - 2 tablespoons
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 2 tablespoons
- Dill - 2 tablespoons
- Semi-soft cream cheese - 6.2 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Heat a large skillet. Peel the pear and cut it into 4 pieces, removing the core. Slice the pear into thin slices. Cut the ham into strips and wrap them around the pear slices. Chop the walnuts and then the herbs.
Step 2
Place the butter in the skillet and, when it melts and starts to foam, add the rolls. Fry for 2–3 minutes until crispy, turning once. Pour the brandy into the skillet to ignite the contents. Sprinkle in the walnut crumbs, stirring until the flame goes out and the brandy evaporates.
Step 3
On serving plates, arrange the arugula, sprinkle with chives, parsley, and dill. Add seasonings to taste. Top with the rolls and walnut crumbs. Crumble the blue cheese into small pieces, removing the rind first, and sprinkle on top.
