Description
Ham Rolls with Asparagus and Mayonnaise
Ingredients
- Capers - 1 tablespoon
- Mayonnaise - 8.8 oz
- York Ham - 6 pieces
- Canned White Asparagus - 6 pieces
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Parsley - 0.2 oz
- Dates - 6 pieces
- Safflower Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Turnips - 3 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Dry the capers, chop them finely, and mix with mayonnaise. Then, place one tablespoon of this mixture on each slice of ham in the center. On top of the mayonnaise, place one asparagus spear if it's thick, or three if they are thin. Carefully roll the ham into a roll so that the asparagus is in the middle, with its tips sticking out of the rolled-up ham. Arrange the rolls on a serving plate.
Step 2
Boil the egg hard. While it cools, mix the oil with vinegar or lemon juice, add salt, and place the carrots, cut into thin strips, into the same bowl: mix and set aside.
Step 3
Finely chop the parsley, also chop the egg finely, mix them together, and sprinkle this mixture over the rolls. Then place one date in the center of each roll and garnish with mounds of carrots in the marinade. If you are not serving the dish immediately, cover it with foil and keep it in the refrigerator.
