Hamburgers with Homemade Yeast Buns

Ingredients

  • Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
  • Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
  • Sesame bun - 1.1 oz
  • Dry yeast - 0.4 oz
  • Corn Salad - 1.1 oz
  • Milk - 1 fl oz
  • Sugar - 0.4 oz
  • Olive Oil - 0 fl oz
  • Salt - 5 teaspoons
  • Lean Beef - 12.3 oz
  • Hard Cheese - 3.5 oz
  • Tomatoes - 7.1 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

In a warm mixture of milk and water, dissolve the yeast and sugar, and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then add the oil, salt, and egg, gradually incorporating the sifted flour to knead the dough. It should be very soft, even slightly sticky to the hands, which will make the buns more airy, but it shouldn’t be too runny. Transfer the dough to a pot greased with vegetable oil, cover with a lid, and place it in a warm spot for 1 hour.

Step 2

When the dough has risen, transfer it to a work surface greased with vegetable oil, also grease your hands with oil, and do not use any more flour. Divide the dough into 8–9 pieces. Line a baking sheet with greased parchment paper, place the rolls on it, gently press them down with your hands to shape them nicely, cover with plastic wrap, and let them rise for another 10–15 minutes. Then, preheat the oven to 392°F (about 400 degrees Fahrenheit), gently press the rolls down again, brush them with beaten egg, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Place the rolls in the warm oven without waiting for it to heat up completely. Bake until golden brown.

Step 3

When the rolls are ready, take them out of the oven and cover them with a cloth while setting them aside.

Step 4

Do not add anything to the minced meat except for an egg, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix well, and if you find the mixture too runny, you can add a little breadcrumbs. Shape the mixture into round, flat patties; they will shrink a bit while frying, so make them larger than you think. Fry until cooked on a grill pan with a little vegetable oil, or in a regular frying pan.

Step 5

Now take our buns, slice them in half lengthwise, spread a little mayonnaise on both halves, then place a leaf of lettuce, a slice of tomato, the patty, a bit of ketchup, cheese, and cover with the other half.
