Homemade Chicken Noodles
Ingredients
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts - 1 piece
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 head
- Potato - 1 piece
- Wheat Flour - 1 cup
- Water - 3 tablespoons
- Egg white - 1 piece
- Salt - to taste
- Bay leaf - 1 piece
- White Pepper (whole) - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cook the chicken broth. Remove the foam and ensure the broth does not boil too vigorously.
Step 2
When the broth is almost ready, grate the carrot on a coarse grater and finely chop the onion.
Step 3
Sauté the onion and carrot in vegetable oil. Add the sautéed mixture to the broth.
Step 4
Cut the potato into sticks — one small potato is enough. Add it to the noodles as well.
Step 5
Make the noodles. Take one cup of wheat flour. Pour it onto a board in a mound. Make a well in the center and crack one egg into it.
Step 6
Add 2 tablespoons of water and a pinch of salt. Knead a stiff dough — it should be like dumpling dough. Let it rest for a few minutes and roll it out into a thin sheet. Then cut the noodles into thin strips. Once the noodles are cut, drop them into the boiling broth. Add salt and spices to taste.
Step 7
Let it simmer for a bit.
