Homemade Chicken Shawarma
Ingredients
- Armenian Lavash - 2 pieces
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts - 3.5 oz
- White Cabbage - 1.8 oz
- Spanish onions - 2 heads
- Cucumbers - 4 pieces
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Orange Bell Peppers - 2 pieces
- Parsley - 1 bunch
- Sour Cream - 7.1 oz
- Champagne Vinegar - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Salt - to taste
- Sugar - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
First, prepare the sauce so that it sits for a while and all the flavors combine well. To do this, add chopped parsley, pressed garlic, salt, and freshly ground black pepper to the sour cream, and mix everything well. Then marinate the finely chopped red salad onion in salt, sugar, and wine vinegar.
Step 2
Chop the vegetables.
Step 3
Cut the lavash into strips of the desired length and spread half with the sauce, then add the vegetable filling on top.
Step 4
The meat component I used was boiled chicken breast cooked in advance; I cut the breast into small pieces and quickly sautéed it in hot vegetable oil, stirring constantly, and it retained its juiciness.
Step 5
Carefully and tightly roll the lavash with the filling starting from the right side into a tube and quickly fry it on a very hot grill pan on both sides.
Step 6
This is how a delicious and satisfying homemade shawarma turned out.
