Ingredients

  • Fish - 2 lbs
  • Potato - 28.2 oz
  • Carrot - 5.3 oz
  • Onion - 5.3 oz
  • Green peppercorns - to taste
  • Bay leaf - 4 pieces
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste
  • Herbs - to taste
  • Parsley - 0.7 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Clean the fish. Place the fish heads and tails in water and boil for 25–30 minutes. Then remove them (they will not be needed anymore) and strain the broth if desired. Cut the fish into small pieces.

Step 2

Finely chop the onion. Grate the carrot on a medium grater. Cut the potato into cubes or sticks. Add the potato to the boiling broth, season with salt and pepper. Once the potato comes to a boil, add the fish. Cook for 15 minutes.

Step 3

Add the carrot. Next, add the onion (you can sauté the onion and carrot beforehand). Cook for 5–7 minutes. Add the bay leaf, parsley root (or celery), and peppercorns.

Step 4

Let it steep for 25–30 minutes. When serving, sprinkle with herbs.
