- 10% cream - 16 fl oz
- Cinnamon - 2 pieces
- Vanilla Pod - 1 piece
- Mild Chili Spice - a pinch
- Raw cane sugar - 7.1 oz
- Pasilla Pepper - to taste
- Sweet Cream Butter - to taste
- Grated Lemon Zest - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour the cocoa powder into a copper saucepan or a deep skillet.
Step 2
Add a little warm milk (until you achieve a sour cream consistency) and mix to avoid lumps.
Step 3
Place the chocolate mixture over heat and slowly add the remaining milk, whisking constantly.
Step 4
Add cane sugar to taste. Continue whisking.
Step 5
Divide the finished hot chocolate into three parts.
Step 6
Slice the vanilla pod lengthwise, scrape out the seeds, and add them to the first part of the hot chocolate along with the pod halves. The hot chocolate with vanilla is ready.
Step 7
In the second part, add the cinnamon sticks and wait for the characteristic aroma of the spice. The hot chocolate with cinnamon is ready.
Step 8
Both the vanilla and cinnamon hot chocolates can be enhanced with cold whipped cream. Optionally, you can top the cream with lime zest to taste.
Step 9
In the third part of the hot chocolate, add a little chili pepper or pink peppercorns. The hot chocolate with pepper is ready.
