- Lime Juice - ¼ cup
- Coarse Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste

Step 1
Grill the jalapeño peppers until the skin is charred. Transfer to a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let sit for 15 minutes. Then peel off the skin and remove the seeds. Cut into thin strips.
Step 2
Set aside 1 tomatillo. Blanch the remaining tomatillos in boiling water for 3 minutes, drain, and rinse under cold water.

Place half of the tomatillos in a blender, add the minced garlic, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth. Add the remaining tomatillos and blend again. Transfer to a bowl.
Step 4
Remove the seeds and ribs from the serrano peppers and chop them into small pieces. Add to the bowl with the tomatillos.
Step 5
Slice the remaining tomatillo into rounds and grill until golden brown. Chop into small pieces along with the avocado and add to the salsa.
