Description

Jalapeño Sauce Burger

Ingredients

  • Bacon - 8 pieces
  • Whole egg - 1 piece
  • Water - 1 teaspoon
  • Lime Juice - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Butter - 10 tablespoons
  • Habanero Pepper - 1 piece
  • Hamburger Bun - 4 pieces
  • Lean Beef - 15.9 oz
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste
  • Cheese Spread - 2.8 oz
  • Avocado - ¼ piece
  • Chocolate eggs - 4 pieces

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 392°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and lay the bacon slices in a single layer. Bake for about 1 minute until the bacon is crispy. Place the cooked bacon on a paper towel.

Step 2

Prepare the sauce. In a tall container for an immersion blender, mix the egg yolk, water, lime juice, and a pinch of salt. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over high heat. Once the butter stops foaming, pour it into a measuring cup.

Step 3

Start blending the ingredients in the immersion blender container while gradually pouring in the hot butter. You should achieve a smooth mixture. Add half of the jalapeño pepper (more or less depending on your preference) to the mixture. The remaining pepper will be used for serving the burgers. Keep the sauce warm.

Step 4

Take the buns and cut them in half. Place the bacon on the bottom half and set aside. Heat a skillet, add oil, and place the meatballs in the skillet. Flatten them with a spatula to form patties.

Step 5

Season the patties with salt and pepper. Fry for about 45 seconds on each side (the top will turn gray-pink). Place a slice of cheese on top and cover it with another patty. Place the resulting three-layer sandwich on the bun with bacon, and top it with a slice of avocado. Repeat these steps with the remaining meatballs.

Step 6

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.

Step 7

Crack the eggs into the skillet and fry for about 2 minutes if you want runny yolks. Place the fried eggs on top of the avocado layer. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of sauce over the eggs, season with pepper, cover with the top half of the bun, and serve hot. Enjoy your meal!
