Description

Japanese-Style Fried Marinated Chicken

Ingredients

  • Grated Ginger Root - 1 piece
  • Soy Sauce - 2 fl oz
  • Sake - 1 fl oz
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Chicken fillet - 9.7 oz
  • Oyster Mushrooms - 1 tablespoon
  • Black Cumin (Cumin) - ½ spoons
  • Chicken Egg - 1 piece
  • Oregano - ½ spoons
  • Corn Flour for Polenta - 2 spoons
  • Lime - 1 piece
  • Vegetable Oil - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Combine the grated ginger, soy sauce, sake, sugar, and oyster sauce. Heat over low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved. Allow to cool.

Step 2

Cut the chicken into pieces and transfer them to a bowl, adding the prepared sauce. Mix well and let it sit for 1 hour or overnight.

Step 3

Combine the egg, herbs, and cornmeal, then add the pieces of marinated chicken and mix well.

Step 4

Heat a skillet filled one-third with oil to 356°F. Fry the chicken for 5 minutes until golden brown, making sure the pieces do not stick together.

Step 5

Place on a paper towel and serve with any sauce and lime wedges.
