Ingredients
- Water - 1 qt
- Milk - 1 qt
- Green Tea (brick) - 3.5 oz
- Salt - 2 teaspoons
- Bay leaf - 4 pieces
- Green peppercorns - 16 pieces
- Nutmeg - 1 teaspoon
- Butter - 4 tablespoons
- Badan - 0.2 oz
- Angelica - to taste
- Acorus - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Crush/cut the tea and grind it. Pour in water, bring to a boil, and simmer on low heat for about ten minutes.
Step 2
Add a little milk and bring to a boil. Gradually add all the milk.
Step 3
Add salt and spices.
Step 4
Simmer for 5–7 minutes. Let it steep covered. After 10 minutes, stir the tea.
Step 5
Traditionally, scoop the tea with a ladle and pour it back into the pot from a small height. Repeat this 99 times.
Step 6
Strain the drink.
Step 7
Serve in large bowls with a piece of butter.
